These are superb computers. They are also quite expensive. I’m working on a more complete recommendation, but below are some important notes:
MacBook Pro: Upgrade Before Migrating
There are initial reports that setting up a new MacBook Pro goes much more smoothly if you upgrade the computer to at least macOS 12.0.1 right at the start.

Note that other than a couple low-end CPU/GPU options, all configurations are available on both the 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro. This is fantastic news for folks who prefer the smaller computer.
